Privacy Policy

The short version
I collect only what I need to deliver the service you asked for. I don't sell your information, I don't share it with marketers, and I don't do anything shady with it. If you want me to delete your data, just ask.
This site is operated by Nasreen Belfon ("Nas's Cyber Corner"). When I say "I," "me," or "my" in this policy, that's who I'm talking about. When I say "you," I mean you — the person using this site, reading the blog, buying a product, or signing up for something.
What I collect and why
Here's what data I collect, depending on how you interact with the site:
What you're doing, what I collect, why
Downloading the free career roadmap. Your email address so that I can send you the download link. I may also send occasional updates about new blog posts or resources — you can unsubscribe at any time.
Buying a digital product (study guides, reference cards, etc.)Name, email address, and payment information. To process your purchase and deliver the product. Wix's payment processor handles payment — I never see or store your full card details.
Using the contact form, please include your first name, last name, email, and your message so I can respond.
Booking a service (resume review, mock interview, etc.)Name, email address, and any materials you send me (resume, LinkedIn URL, portfolio links) to deliver the service you booked. I keep your materials only for the duration of the engagement and delete them within 30 days unless you ask me to hold on to them.
Browsing the site, Standard analytics data — pages visited, time on site, general location (country/region), device type, browser. To understand which content is useful so I can write more of it. Wix's built-in analytics collects this data and isn't tied to your identity.
Cookies
This site runs on Wix, which sets cookies to keep the site functioning — things like keeping you logged in, remembering your cart if you're buying something, and collecting anonymous analytics. I don't set any advertising or tracking cookies myself.
Wix uses cookies, including essential cookies (required for the site to work), functional cookies (to remember preferences), and analytics cookies (to collect anonymous usage data). You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect how the site works for you.
Third-party services
The site relies on a few third-party services to function. Here's who they are and what they do:
ServiceWhat it does
Wix.com hosts the website, handles e-commerce transactions, and provides built-in analytics.
Payment processors (via Wix process payments for digital products. Wix integrates with providers like PayPal and Stripe. Your payment info goes directly to them, not to me.
Email service sends download links and occasional updates if you've opted in.
I don't sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone. If that ever changed — which I don't anticipate — I'd update this policy and let you know.
How I protect your data
The site uses HTTPS encryption for all connections. Payment processing is handled through PCI-compliant third-party processors. I use strong, unique passwords and two-factor authentication on all accounts related to this site. Client materials (resumes, portfolios) submitted for services are stored securely and deleted within 30 days of service completion.
That said, no system is 100% bulletproof — I'm in cybersecurity so that I won't pretend otherwise. I take reasonable measures to protect your information, but I can't guarantee absolute security. If something ever went wrong, I'd tell you.
Your rights
Regardless of where you live, you can always:
You're right. What does it mean
Ask me what personal data I have about you. I'll tell you.
Correction: If something I have on file is wrong, tell me, and I'll fix it.
Deletion: Ask me to delete your data. Unless I need it for a legal or financial obligation (like a purchase receipt), I'll remove it.
Opt out. Unsubscribe from emails any time using the link at the bottom of every email, or just ask me directly.
Portability: Want a copy of your data in a usable format? Just ask.
If you're in California (CCPA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. You have the right to know what personal information I collect, request deletion of that information, and opt out of the sale of your data. For the record, I don't sell personal information — never have, don't plan to. To exercise any of these rights, contact me using the information below.
If you're in the EU or UK (GDPR)
If you're located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation applies to you. The legal basis for processing your data is either your consent (when you sign up for emails or submit a form), the performance of a contract (when you buy a product or book a service), or my legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (anonymous analytics). You have the right to withdraw consent at any time, lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, and request restriction of processing. Contact me using the information below to exercise any of these rights.
Children's privacy
This site isn't aimed at anyone under 16. I don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you're a parent and you believe your child has submitted information through this site, reach out, and I'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If I make meaningful changes to this policy, I'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and post the revised version here. For major changes, I'll do my best to give you a heads up via email if I have your contact information.
